Returns & Refunds

We have a 30-day return policy for change-of-mind returns, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible, your item must be in the same condition that you received it — unused and in its original packaging — and you’ll need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, contact us at [email protected]. For change-of-mind returns, the cost of return shipping is for your account. If your return is due to a defect, damage, or our error, we’ll cover the return shipping.

Damages and defects

Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us as soon as possible if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, so we can make it right. Separately, and in line with the Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to return defective or poor-quality goods within 6 months of delivery, at our risk and expense, for a repair, replacement, or refund of your choice. This right applies regardless of this policy, including to sale items.

Cooling-off (online purchases)

Because purchases from our online store are electronic transactions, you may also cancel your order under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act within 7 days after receiving the goods, without reason or penalty. Where you cancel under this right, you return the goods at your own cost and we refund the amount paid (less the direct cost of returning the goods). This does not apply to goods that cannot be returned by their nature, are liable to deteriorate, or have been unsealed where return is not appropriate for health, hygiene, or safety reasons (for example, opened darkroom chemistry).

Exceptions / non-returnable items

For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns on opened darkroom chemistry or other hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases once the seal is broken. We also can’t accept change-of-mind returns on sale items or gift cards. (This does not affect your CPA rights above if such an item is defective.) If you’re unsure about a specific item, please get in touch.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get what you want is to return your item and, once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the new one.

Refunds

We’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know whether it’s approved. If approved, you’ll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take additional time for your bank or card provider to process and post the refund.
