At ISO 400 it’s the fast film in the range: two stops more than Fomapan 100, for dull days, indoors and handheld shooting. On a medium format negative the grain is much less visible than in 35mm.

One roll gives you 12 shots on a 6x6 camera, 8 on a 6x9, 10 on a 6x7 and 15 or 16 on a 6x4.5. The box says 8 because that’s the 6x9 number.

If 400 isn’t fast enough, you can shoot it at 800 or 1600 and develop for longer to compensate. Foma publishes times for both on its film sheet. Expect more grain and contrast the further you go.

Develop it in Fomadon P or any standard developer. Times are on the Massive Dev Chart.

For bright light and the finest grain, see Fomapan 100 in 120.

Box code: Fomapan 400 120.
