Fomapan R100 is a black and white slide film. Instead of a negative, you get a positive image on the film itself, which you can mount and project, or scan directly without inverting. It’s one of the very few black and white slide films still made.
It’s a fine grained ISO 100 film. Slide film has less exposure latitude than negative film, so meter carefully.
Processing is different and most labs won’t do it. Reversal processing has extra steps (a bleach, a clearing bath and a second development) and needs a reversal kit. Foma makes one for this film. In practice, expect to process it yourself. Foma’s instructions are on the film sheet.
If you’re new to home developing, start with Fomapan 100, which uses the standard process.
Box code: Fomapan R 100 135-36.
